Tulkas' name is most frequently mentioned in matters of valor and battle. And, indeed, He is the Champion of the Valar. An excellent battle strategist, Tulkas is renowned for his ability to win any battle, no matter how many odds are against him. Elves often tell stories of how Tulkas defeated entire armies with 10 elderly soldiers and one lame steed. Young Elves especially speak of His exploits with breathless amazement, considering him a hero among the Valar. It is said that Tulkas' ability to strategize impeccably is not merely due to His skills in planning well, but to His determination. Thus, he is invoked when ambition and determination to overcome obstacles are lacking.

Friendship also falls in Tulkas' reign, for He understands the powerful ties that make friends, both within battle and without. As such, greatest friends often carry Tulkas' mark and recognize each other even after being apart for eons. His mark is subtle, but appears no matter what form one takes. Thus, even if an Elf travels in form of an animal, their friends would recognize their spirit and greet them with joy. Tulkas strives to keep friends in good spirits, often mediating their quarrels through subtle ways. He always reminds friends of the reasons they united as such, and thus keeps them evermore connected and grateful for each other.

Tulkas' blessings are most frequently asked for on the battle field. Coming as the sound of a war cry, the blessings infuse the worthy with courage and skill that guarantees a victory. Thus He is favored among Elven generals and Bladesingers. A patron to most warriors, He is called upon for valor and mastering skills of swordsmanship. Along with Aüle's aid, He often leaves magic swords and lances for the Elves who have shown their excellence in battle.

Priests of Tulkas are known for their mastery of a weapon skill. They are found almost exclusively in combat, be it in wars or mere engagement with vile creatures. Though they enjoy celebrating with their fellow Elves (and Elves jest that they most often only show up when wine is present), their lust for battle frequently has them wander off to slay yet another Elven enemy. Praised for their skill with arms, they are sought out for apprenticeship by aspiring young warriors.
